Planet Hollywood Cap'n Crunch Chicken




2 cups crushed Cap'n Crunch cereal
1 1/2 cups crushed cornflakes
1 egg
1 cup milk
1 cup all-purpose flour
1 tsp. onion powder
1 tsp. garlic powder
1/2 tsp. pepper
2 pounds boneless, skinless chicken breasts cut into strips
Vegetable oil, for frying

1. Combine the cereals in a large bowl
2 Beat the egg with the milk and set aside
3. Stir together the flour onion and garlic powders, and pepper. Set aside.
4. Dip the chicken strips into the seasoned flour. Move around to coat well, then shake off the excess flour. Dip into the egg mixture, coating well, then dip into cereal mixture, coating well.
5. Heat the oil in a large, heavy skillet to 325.
6. Drop the coated chicken tenders carefully into 1 inch of hot oil and fry until golden brown and cooked through, 3 to 5 minutes, depending on size.
7. Drain on paper towels and serve.
